Jean Cutoffs

Kamy had some jeans with big holes in the knees. She cut off the pant legs at the hole, and has been wearing them as shorts for a month or two.  They aren't the prettiest of shorts, but they were ok.

However, in preparation for Girls Camp, Kamy needed shorts that covered her knee. One pair of her cutoffs were fine, but the other two were too short.  So, I decided to quickly make some adjustments  to the pants, following a few ideas I found on pintrest.  What do you think?  First, the before pictures, and then the after pictures.

This next one didn't get a before picture, but I did the same as the first, and added a patch to cover up another hole.  They were dirty when we took the picture...perfect for girls camp!

Those are so adorable. I am hoping to use your sewing posts as inspiration since I bought a new sewing machine and handed down my basic singer to my daughter.

What cute ideas! What would you do for little boys? My little guy's jeans are his favorite, but they all have holes. Ruffle and bows won't quite work for him.

These are so cute! One of my daughter's has a holes in almost ALL her jeans from the school year, in fact all of her pants. This is way cuter than just cut-off jean shorts!

Very cute and creative! I just cut off Mary's jeans and rolled them up. I think she would like your technique a lot better. :)

I think this is an adorable idea, and you did a great job!! Maybe we need to gather up old jeans and sell these on Etsy?
