Now that I'm a woman

I know what you are probably thinking with the title of this post, but it's not that.

I am talking about the title to the song from the movie The Last Unicorn. Never heard of it? Good. It is a terrible movie. I hate it. My sister loves it.

In fact, she just called me to tell me she changed the ringtone on her phone. My ringtone. It use to be the song from Say Anything "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. Instead, she changed it to "Now that I'm a Woman". Ugh. I hate that song.

See the above clip to listen to the song...my new ringtone.

I've seen the movie, and I'm with Shaina- it's awful! We rented it a while back for my daughter because she loves unicorns, and I thought i remembered liking it when I was a kid. Let's just say it was not all that I remembered it to be! How awful to know that song is loosed upon all those in earshot every time you call! Yuck!

Those of u who read this dont let my sister fool u, she loves this movie so much that we used to act out the Shemdrick and the big breasted tree part all the time and pretend that we are the unicorn. Shaina wanted to watch it everyday and so I humored her and watched it. I would catch her sining the "Now that I'm a women" song when she would shower. I love it so much because it reminds me of her and how much she wanted to be a unicorn. Love u Na! Hahahahahah

Ok there girly. No telling stories about me! I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS MOVIE! But I do admit, we talked about it a lot because we are a quote-the-movie type of family. Of course, my favorite was saying Schmendrick's name. It just rolls off the toungue, doesn't it? In the movie, Schmendrick is being squished by a volumptuous tree with huge boosoms, and she says "I love love love love LOVE you!" So Kimmie, even though you tell wild stories about me I still Love Love Love Love LOVE you!
(by the way, if I DID sing in the shower, it would NEVER be this song!!)

I actually loved that movie growing up. I still think of it occasionally. But the song I associate with the movie when I think of it is, "I'm Alive" Those of you that have seen it, do ya know which one I'm talking about? Either that or, "Do you know the Muffin Man" good times.
