Friday night, after dinner, we went for a walk around our neighborhood, and we discovered a pond. As soon as we sat down to enjoy the view, Keaton tapped me on the shoulder and said:
"I know the life cycle of a frog! First they start out as a frog egg with a black dot. Then it changes and becomes a tadpole with a big head and a long tail. And then it grows back legs and then front legs and then it's a froglet. Then it grows into a frog and during winter time, they can't find any food, so they hibernate under the pond. And then when it's spring time, they find a girlfriend so they can lay their eggs and start all over again. Remember, it's called a life cycle because it changes and changes and then starts all over again." (this is exactly what he said, word for word)
I have a pretty smart little guy! What a memory! All those big words, like hibernate and life cycle. Very cool. My favorite part? Finding a girlfriend so they can lay their eggs.
I need to send his teacher an apple! She's doing a great job.
