Go to the store NOW!

I usually like to post a picture with my recipes, but I didn't get a chance to because we gobbled these up too quickly! I am telling you, this recipe for Swedish Meatballs with noodles and gravy are the very very best.

You think you like IKEA meatballs? These are so much better. They are really easy to make. You can even make the meatballs ahead of time and keep them in the freezer until you want to eat them. I've given some of you this recipe already, and if you haven't made them, go to the store NOW and get the ingredients. You will be singing my praises!

½ cup bread crumbs
1 onion, chopped
1 egg
2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
½ tsp salt and pepper
1/8 tsp nutmeg, and allspice
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork

Combine all ingredients and shape into meatballs. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until no longer pink. Serve with gravy and noodles. (Meatballs can be frozen before they are baked.) This recipe makes approx 36 normal-sized meatballs.

2 Tbsp butter and flour
1 cup beef broth
½ cup heavy whipping cream
¼ tsp dill
¼ cup parsley

Melt butter and flour in saucepan. Stir until smooth. Add broth. Bring to a boil. Cook, and stir for 1-2 minutes until thickened. Stir in cream and dill. Simmer for 1 minute. Serve with meatballs and noodles. Garnish with parsley. This makes a cup and a half of gravy. I usually double this recipe.

8 oz wide egg noodles
3 Tbsp butter
1 garlic clove, minced
¼ tsp salt, pepper, dill and thyme

Cook noodles according to package directions. In a skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and seasonings. Drain noodles and add to butter mixture. Toss to coat. Serve with meatballs and gravy.

Now go make it!

Sounds yummy, I am sure that Tom would love it. I don't eat too many meatballs myself. I can eat a few, but then I am good for a very long time. :) Do you have any good recipes for Freezer dinners?
