MOVING

Yes. The title references us. We will be moving in a month. Heath has been working this "traveling job" and it has been hard having him gone all the time. We believe that families should be together, and that the husband should support the family, both with income and with his presence. He has been gone too much.

Heath has been searching the job boards like crazy and calling everyone he knew to try to get more contacts and try to find job openings. It paid off. Friday night he got the call he'd been waiting for. He got a job. It's a great job. It's a "stay at home" job, meaning that he doesn't have to travel. He goes to the office, works, and comes home that night. It's great.

You are probably waiting to find out where we are moving to. Well, it's where Heath has wanted to live for a long time. He dreams of this place, and he hopes to spend the rest of his life there. We are moving to Colorado Springs. Heath will be working at one of the many military installations that are in the area. He will be, among others, running the computer network.

He starts the job in two weeks, and we will be left to pack everything up and get things finished off here for a few more weeks, and then he'll fly back here and we'll drive over together.

Anyone wanna help me pack?

YIPPEEE! Hip, Hip, Horray! Congratulations! Sweet! I'm thrilled!

This is great news, Shaina. I know it will be a pill to pack...yet again...but it's CLOSER to the rest of your extended family {wish you were here in AZ} and it's where your man will be even happier, and where you'll get to actually SEE the man bringing in the money he works so hard for. Awesome! Theres' a lot of pluses in this change.

Too bad we couldn't have gotten the opportunity to go see you in San Fran and NC- but maybe since you guys will be closer to us we can get up to Colorado. :)

I would drop anything to help you move. Too bad it costs and arm and a leg and almost a first born child to pay for a flight. grrr

Good luck and happy packing!

I am so happy for you all!! I really am.. You all are are like 4 hours from Dales folks.. That means might be able to get together..
I will be going to Utah on November 1st to play With Bernie Jo for a week of shopping therapy..
Maybe you can sneak up to one of your sisters during that time and we can meet. You will only be like 8 hours away.. I think.. LOL

I can feel the BFF vibe getting stonger the closer the time gets to u moving.
U are so organized that the packing should go super quick....

I might even pop over to help u unpack??? Thats a fun thought, worth developing. Kids will have fall break soon.

8 hours better than 3 days, way to go heath.

Shaina that is so great for you! Kelly traveled alot in his job for the first few years of our marriage of course we had no little ones (maybe that is why!) and then he commuted that is why we ended up in Fairfield for him to be home more congratulations to you guys hope your move goes well, wish it were closer to California.

I just realized that Warren and James will get to see you at least once a year when they go to their annual company meeting in Littleton, CO.

It looks like you will be about 11 hours from Phoenix. I thought you'd be closer then that.
Oh, well.

Monti said that Heath called and talked to Sheldon about you guys trying to move to Colorado. That is awesome that he got the job. Are they helping you pay for the moving? I hope so. I wish I could come and help, but can't travel. :) Good luck and yeah, you'll be closer to here. :)

This is GREAT news! no more traveling...although you are going to have to chat to Heath about sneaking some of those 'jewelry' surprises into his schedule every now & then....I remember the photo of the last one....the 'clever crop' hahaha!
I am so happy for all of you...the waiting has been worth every day without an air conditioner....hey talking about that, there is going to be no more having to deal with 'you-know-who' yay! yay! things are definitely looking up! Oh..oh..I nearly forgot, no more 4.5day killer spiders!!!
Oh Happy day indeed!

Very cool! James had an interview in Colorado Springs last month and he loved it there. Researching it on line I found that there was so much to do there! A cool zoo and lots of cool parks and caves but not over populated and not too expensive! I"m so glad it worked for you guys! Too bad it didn't for us!

Now you're closer to Alaska! You can come see us any time you want! What great news. I am happy for you guys. Get used to the dry air by sticking a screw driver in the switch and your head in the dryer turn it on and you'll have the summer weather in Colorado. Then you can come to Alaska to cool off and get wet. Have fun.
