A tale of good deeds

One day [last night, to be exact] a husband stopped by the store on his way home from work to get a few things to make his sick wife feel better. His wife was at home with their four children, and could barely gather the energy to get out of bed, let alone unpack their newly moved-in belongings. He wanted to make her feel better.

His first stop was to the pharmacy to get some over-the-counter medicine to ease his wife's symptoms. He spoke with the pharmacist and was offered some suggestions. He gathered together some iron pills, vitamin pills, cough medicine, and some Airborn.

Next, he went down the juice aisle. He noted that his wife loves Orange juice, and knew it offered some much needed vitamin C, so he got two big bottles.

He strolled past the candy aisle and picked up a big bag of his wife's favorite candy: Reeses.

He picked up a can of Wolfgang Puck's new Tortilla Soup. "This will make a nice lunch for the wife," he thought.

He also bought two big bags of lemons so his wife could have lemon and honey tea to make her throat feel better.

To make sure the kids had things to eat too, he also got 3 loaves of bread, 3 gallons of milk, and a few odds and ends to make a few meals with. Lastly, because he had been such a thoughtful husband, he bought himself a bar of his favorite chocolate, Lindt.

He made his way home and deposited his goods. His sick wife was very grateful.

That guy sounds like a keeper! My hubby stops at the store for me often but usually he is there to gratify his own cravings for food I don't usually buy.
