Anyone Out There?

Sometimes I feel pretty lonely in ciberworld. Are people still reading this blog?

What is everyone up to? Do you have vacations planned? Yard work? Gardening? Summer school?

I've got a family reunion at the end of next week in Utah. We leave a week from tomorrow. It is a reunion for my side of the family. Just my parents, all their kids, the kids' spouses, and grandchildren. Wouldn't seem like a large amount, but we number almost 50! If you can believe it, we will all be camping in my brother's backyard. We joke about it being a "tent city", but I'm sure it will be a sight to see. Hopefully we can fit all the tents back there, and still be able to walk around. The real problem is going to be negotiating showers in the morning. I think it may take all day to get everyone ready.

After a weekend of family fun, Heath will fly back home while I stay in Utah and visit longer with family. I'll stay for about two or three weeks. During that time, Heath will be here working. Since he just started his new job, we were lucky he was given two days off to drive over with me and stay the weekend. Sadly, he won't be able to bum around Utah for three weeks.

In preparation, I'm going food shopping today so I can make some freezer meals for the husband. If he can't have me, at least he can have some good dinners, right? I've got a few new recipes up my sleeves, so we'll see if they are worthy of a blog post.

I read your blog! I don't know you, but stumbled across this blog and love reading about others especially SAHMs like myself and I love that you post recipes! My friends and I swap recipes in cyberworld too. Keep 'em coming and enjoy your visit! I live away from family too and am heading home for a week (only 250 miles) solo with the boys while hubby stays and works. Should be an interesting trip!

Hey, You get way more comments than anyone I know!

Hey, If you are going to be in Utah that long, then taking a day or two to come up and see us wouldn't hurt, it is only 3 hours from Jamie's house to mine!

Excited to see you next week!

I'm still here. We really don't have much planned this summer. Since Cameron farms most of our real vacations happen in the winter. We have one cruise planned for just adults with my family to new england and possibly another with all our kids and Cameron's brothers families for an early Christmas present.

I haven't been by in a while...kind of a visiting slacker lately, I guess.

But I always enjoy your blog!

I read your blog everyday. Just don't usually leave a comment. Sorry:( I did make your lemon blueberry bundt cake the other day for a party. It was a hit. Family loves it when I use them as guinea pigs. LOL!

I hear ya. Don't think anyone reads my blog, but I guess I do it mostly for me as a journal/scrapbook. Keep up the postings. I miss you guys.

your weekend getaway looked really fun. There are so many places around here I wish we would have gotten to. We still never got to see the indians dance in Manitou. Oh well.

Have a great trip to Utah. We'll be there too. If you need a break from family call my cell phone and we can meet at Gateway or something. That'd be fun

You make me laugh. You seem to get more comments than any of the blogs I read regularly. :] Sounds like fun coming your way. :) I'm a little jealous. Wish so badly I could make it out for girls weekend. :] Have fun! :)

hi. I read your blog, not sure if I've ever commented though. and to tell you the truth, I think it's funny sometimes that I keep up with your blog, yet I don't know you! lol

I'm an old friend of Colleen Conlin. I think that's how I found your blog.

You're just hilarious! I feel good vibes about you, so though I may be wrong ;) you seem like a great mom/wife/friend/etc. and you have some cool ideas for crafts and food, so thanks!

anyway, just thought I'd say hi, have a great vacation and good luck with the pregnancy! I've got 3 and can't imagine more, though I want more, I don't know if I'd be sane enough. #3 has really done me in! hee hee

I'm a lame commenter because I barely have time to read blogs these days! But I agree -- comments are the best part of blogging.

We are bumming around Utah, father/husband-less, for 3 weeks, too. You are nice to make Heath freezer meals. I bought Chad a bag of frozen burritos at Costco....does that count???

Don't be lonely, I read when I can. I am getting ready for 2 family reunions at our house, one the end of the month and one on the 4th of JUly. I think you are great and you have great recipes and loads of things to share. Thanks, Penny

I'm still around but just barely. For some reason I just haven't been able to find the time to sit around and read blogs and especially to blog myself. Hopefully I'll get back into the groove soon.

You may never even read this comment because I'm late reading your post. I'm here somewhere is cyberspace. My little world is a little topsy turvy right now and I barely have time to read posts let alone write my own. Since my last post I get to add that my computer is really sucky right now, Garin just got made 2nd couns. in the Bishopric and I have had the flu for the last 10 days! So relax, have fun on your trip and remember people read, some of us just have more catching up to do than others!
