More Clarification Needed?

I have ARTWORK time scheduled everyday for the kids. Guess I need to be a bit more specific on exactly HOW this should be accomplished.
The rule-breaker tearfully participated in the next scheduled activity: Clean-up Time.

Knowing you, you kept your cool, but I would have flipped and probably done a little screaming too.

I guess a piece of paper was NOT big enough for her masterpiece. Morgan drew on the back of my folding chair numerous times when she was 3. I kept cleaning it off. But then she'd do it again. So finally I left it on and amazingly she never colored on it again. And every time I pull out that same chair (now probably 5 yrs later) I laugh at her "masterpiece." Sadly you can't put away your fridge to pull out later.

I love it!!
I don't love that you now have to clean it all up.

I rember garret doing that when he was little my first reaction was anger but then when I looked at the pride in his face of creating something so grand I could help but smile too.

Kids grow up so fast just enjoy the moment. I wish I had a little one hanging around that would create such lovely art work on my fridge..

Shaina, will you PLEASE do a blog on how you structure your summer days with your children? I've run across a lot of moms with the same issue as me--what to do as far as structure for the kids during the summer! Now that Luke's done with Kindergarten we are really needing some ideas . . .

So glad you're feeling better!

A cheap can of aerosol hairspray will take permanent marker off walls, fridges, clothes, etc. Good luck!

That is funny! At least it wasn't on the wall. Much harder to clean off paint!
