Recipe Book Giveaway!

Welcome to Day 2 of my Blogiversary Celebration. Today we are focusing on recipes. I have almost 60 recipes on my sidebar. The list is getting quite long and fabulous. I absolutely LOVE making new recipes, tweaking old ones, and sharing them with friends. No "secret family recipes" here. Why keep a fabulous recipe to yourself?

I especially love to write out my recipes in an easy to understand way. They don't have to be complicated.

So that is what I try to focus on when I am posting a recipe for you. Easy to make and delicious to eat. If you have tried any of my recipes, tell me. Which ones do you like? Which ones are now a part of your menu? Really sell it to me, and to anyone who hasn't taken the leap into the kitchen. I will draw a winner to receive this recipe book, which is a compilation of all the recipes posted on my blog, neatly written out and organized into one cute binder. If you are like me, you won't have to bring up my blog to get measurements for a recipe again...that is, until I post more recipes!

I've tried the peanut butter fudge and the thai lettuce wraps. And I am sorry, I can't even begin to choose between their delicious yumminess!! But they are both that. Delicious and yummy. I'd love that book!

I have tried the alfredo potato, reeses and of course the chocolate chip cookies :) I keep thinking I need to try more but I guess I need to print all your recipes and have them in a book so I'll use them without having to refer back to your blog! Wait . . . I have an idea . . . you should just send me your recipe book and save me some time!! Thanks.

Okay, all of your recipes look and are, I'm certain, fantastic ( having tasted your cooking on several occasions!). I loved making your Cranberry Oatmeal cookies at Christmas time. It was new, fresh, and festive! Cameron adored your baked potato soup--he thought I was fantastic that day. And, you know I love the sausage penne. I made that one for my in-laws, and they seemed to be impressed. It proved I could cook after all the years of Cameron telling them I didn't! :) Keep them coming! I have a link to your blog from mine with other recipe blogs, but with yours, I know for sure that the recipes are going to be delicious crowd-pleasers. You have a knack in the kitchen! (and at the sewing machine, and in the craft book room . . . .) Hope I win your cute book so I can organize my growing "favorite recipes" collection!

okay, so i can't honestly say that i've tried any of these recipes as of yet, but you definitely piqued my curiosity! i browsed my way through them and found several that i'm going to print out and try :) one's i've got on the menu plan for the next couple of weeks include the chicken empanada, zuppa toscana (i have looked EVERYWHERE of that recipe), floating tacos and citrus glazed chicken. i don't know if that qualifies me to be in the running, but i'm sure i'd love to win :)

So as Isaid before the generation biscuts are my favorite, and I do not see them on your side bar. If I had to pick a favorite recipe it would be your philly cheese steak subs. I love how easy it is to make these, and I have even switched it up a bit and tried it with chicken, and also used an assortment of different cheeses. I have tried to make your baked potato soup and I did not have a printer to print it so I had to keep going back to the computer and I am pretty sure I missed a few steps because it did not turn out like the one I tasted at your house. So with that said, I still do not have a printer, and I love to cook and bake it is one of my favorite pass times, and it also is a stress reliever so I would love to get the recipe book so that I can continue to build my cooking skills as well as share the delisous yumminess of your recipes with others.

the post before is from Rebekah, this is rebekah, I am using sharons computer, but did not realize I was signed in under her name. Sorry for the confusion. Love you and I am so excited for you to send me the recipe book! :)

I have not tried your recipes yet, just found your site! I can say that it seems your cooking style is very simular to mine. Unfortunatly my family is looking for new recipes from me and I am in need of them. I would love to have this wonderful source! I collect cookbooks but my favorite are the ones that come from families and churches etc. They are the tried and true recipes.
2 years ago for Christmas I made cookbooks for my children ages 22 to 13. They love them. My 20 year old daughter just got married and her husband loves the recipes she has from that book. I would love to try and then add from your favorites!
Wish me Luck!

Hi! I blurk your blog sometimes, via Jenni Smith's blog! :o) I LOVE your sidebar of recipes, and one of your recipes that has become a staple at my house is your Crispy Parmesan Chicken! I've even passed that recipe on to a neighbor of mine, whose husband didn't believe that she actually made them! ;o) Thanks for posting so many great things! :o)

I have tried the potato alfredo and the Swedish Meatballs. Oh MY!! They were a total hit with my family and I got my sister to try them too. I'm going to make your Shepards Pie next!
I would love that little book! I have a thing for recipe books!

One of my favorite recipies of yours is one of the most basic, probably, and that's your breadsticks. I love it because Breadsticks and yeast involving things have always scared me off, but this recipe was so simple, it was easy to adjust what I was doing to get the results I wanted. And they are so, so yummy! I always feel like a superstar when I make them! Another on I have to mention is the wild rice soup! YUM! My sister in law and I are both due in about a month, and we are goijng to do a whole mess of freezer meals together using the freezer meals cookbook you sent me a while back. The wild rice soup is definitly going to be one we make a whole big pot of!

Jen Sue Wild said...

Our family loves your wild rice soup, floating tacos, Honey lime chicken, potato Alfredo, Sausage penne, and what ever else I have tried..

TZel said...

I love the Snicker Salad, but would also like to try the Shepherd's Pie! Thanks!

O.K. If I beg long enough and hard enough, can you just give me the book! I will even make copies of it and give it back if you want to keep it for someone else. I cannot even begin to tell you the stress dinner gives me every week when I plan out the menue. It takes me forever to decide what to have, and it is always the same old thing.
We make your lasagna/pasta/sausage dish all the time, and every single person in the family loves it! All of your desserts are to die for as well. I am trying your lettuce wraps next.
Have some compassion for a tired, mono-ridden girl and bless our family with some awesome recipes I don't have to trudge up the stairs to the computer for and write down before I take them back to the kitchen. A book would be so much easier! I would love you to the day I die, and even more!

Hey, I was out of ideas on night and started scrolling down your list. We did the sausage penne. Everyone liked it that night. With a chinese man as a husband and three boys, that is saying something. So I would like to try more of your recipes when I get another chance. That recipe book does look nice and if the rest of your recipes are like what we have tried, then I am into coveting that book. ;-)

Happy blogiversary!

We love your floating tacos and black bean taquitos, mostly because they freeze fabulously and we're obsessed with anything with a "south of the border" flavor. Thanks for introducing us to such delicacies...since I'm pretty much the opposite of you in the kitchen. You're amazing!

The Frosts said...

Me, me, me. I want this SO bad. I love a bunch of your recipes - Andes Mint cookies, Chicken Alfredo pizza just to name a couple. Yum!

Amy said...

I have tried almost all recipes! Dan's all time favorite is the sausage penne. My favorite is the floating tacos. Next week I am trying the baked potato soup. I would LOVE the cook book! My laptop has gunk on it from bringing it into the kitchen when I cook!

As soon as I read your potato soup recipe I had to make it. I love ordering it at the resturant and wanted to make it at home. All I can say is yummy deliciousness. There are so many others that I want to try, but have to wait till I am done with my diet. Thanks for posting them.

What a fabulous give away! I would LOVE this! I often look up your blog to find a recipe or read through them. The ones we have tried are-Chicken Alfredo pizza (soooo good!!), Lasagna soup (another keeper and is in my permanent file!), granola (we have this on hand all the time now to eat with our yogurt! The kids get a little dixie cup with some in it and sprinkle on as they eat), and the Cherry Dessert Squares (probably one of my all time favorite desserts now and I have made it for several sets of guests and everyone LOVES it!). I also tried the fresh cranberry oatmeal cookies and for some reason, i just didn't care for them. I didn't use mini choc chips like it said to so that might be why. or they were just too tart for me.

Anyhow, i have a couple of others printed out waiting to try them like the olive garden soup. I love that you share your recipes and nothings better than knowing something is tried and true!!!

Ooooh, Pick me, pick me!!! I'd love to have that book! I love all your recipes, I know every single one of them is a keeper, as I have never been disapointed. My husband also knows it will be a good one if I tell him its one of your reciepes!
I can't say what is my favorite, but I will say the Key Lime Pie is one I make very often. I haven't had better, even in Key West!!!

Hi Shaina~
I love your banana bread recipe & so does anyone I've "let" try it. lol! :) I make your bread once a week & can't get enough of it.

Today in fact I made it & added 2 cups of fresh huckleberries, of which I picked on Sunday up @ Mt. Spokane. The banana/huckleberry bread turned out soooooo YUMMY, I've already eaten half the loaf.
I'll take a pic of it & post it on fb so you can see it.

Thanks for sharing your recipes. I definitely plan on trying more of your delish recipes in the future. - YOUR ROCK!!

*Hugs*

Lets see here before I make my menu for the week I check out your blog for ideas and then more then half of the menu comes from you... I then have to get back on your blog almost nightly to make dinner since I don't have them memorized yet. It would save me so much time if I had this cute recipie book and then I could have a cute book to display in my new cookbook stand.

Rayna said...

Yeah, I really could use that book. I'm one to keep the laptop on the kitchen counter.
I love the sausage penne. I wish I could say I've tried more! Maybe I'll have a Shaina meal day once or twice a month. That'll get me through them!

Hey Shaina,
I love that you still make time to entertain me on your blog with everything you have going on. I wish I was so faithful to my bloggy blog. ;)
Okays, so I made the cranberries in the snow for Thanksgiving last year and they were a hit! My mother-in-law, who is a fantabulous cook herself, loved them! :)
I'd love to have the cookbook, but I don't mind coming to your blog to find recipes. I feel like I get to visit you a bit before I make something yummy! But still enter my in the drawing because you know I LOVE to win stuff, especially from you! :)
Love and miss you bunches and so wish we still lived close! :)
