Eating and Sleeping

Yesterday afternoon went so much better. He hasn't had one drop in his levels since they started his air and caffeine. He is eating great with the breastmilk I am pumping for him. I got some sleep last night...about 5 hours total, between pumping every couple of hours. I feel like the breast pump and I see each other way too often, but I am counting it as a blessing, since I was worried about having an adequate milk supply. Believe me, my milk storage is taking over more than its fair share in the milk freezer.

No tears, or crying, or uncontrolled emotions since yesterday afternoon. Things are better. So much better.

It's so amazing what a little sleep will do for a person! And what the lack of it turns us into! It sounds like the doctors are really listening to you, and that is great to hear! And I can't stop saying it, that is one good looking little baby! He looks so healthy, you would never undestand by looking at him what his tiny little body is going through!

Hooray for the good days! Because of some serious issues I have with nursing, I had to pump with Sam for 5 months, and I will be forced to pump with this next baby as well. I am not able to nurse a baby.I TOTALLY understand how it can just run your life. Those pumps become another part of you. It does feel good though to know that your baby is full of the "good stuff." I have a great double pump if you want to borrow it.

Please make sure to take care of yourself so you can best take care of Kimble!
thanks for updating so often. I don't want to bother you with calling everyday, and you probably would get tired of saying the same updates many times. It's great that you take the time to do that. Love you!

I just got caught up on yesterday's post and today's. I am so glad things seem to be moving in the right direction now. The news about his "openings" being "open" sounds very good! I am so sorry it's such a emotional time. Post baby time is always so emotional when everything is going right, but with your additional worries, I am sure it makes it so much harder. Like Heidi said, make sure you are getting taken care of too. You did just have a baby after all! I am sure those doctors have seen it all before, considering their specialties. You are hanging in there strong, I am so impressed by you, and cry all you want, sometimes it really helps!! Kimble is ABSOLUTELY adorable!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. It brings back so many memories of tears coming from no where and not knowing why I was crying. He looks so cute drinking his bottle.

I'm so glad you are doing better! We are all concerned about you too! Make sure you try to get some sleep, remember you need to recover. Kimble looks so good! We are all praying for you. Tonight for family prayers, Teralynn said "....and bless Baby Kimble." It was so sweet.

Glad everything is going better. He is adorable. But please take care of yourself. It is tough. Have you talked to Lactation about how often you should pump? I remember with Matt...turns out I was pumping more than I needed during the night. Who knew!!!

The milk storage makes me giggle. We had to buy a separate freezer chest for my milk storage. I felt like a milk factory. I'm sure this is how you are feeling, uh? Take care!!! Thinking and praying for you!!

So SO glad to hear that things are going the way they should...

Good job sticking to your guns and not letting them put that mask on -keep following your instincts, as much as you can...

Kimble's little new born face is so so beautiful.
