Kimble's Doing Great!

Kimble is out of surgery. He did very well with everything. The surgeon's drained 15 cc's of fluid from around his heart. This amounts to about 1/2 an ounce. Doesn't seem like a lot, but they said it was a very big amount for such a small space around the heart. They were quite impressed with the amount of fluid they drained.

While he was under sedation, they also removed the rest of his staples from his chest incision, removed some sutures from previous chest tube sites, as well as circumcised him. He had the works done.

Kimble is back up in our room on the 9th floor. He is awake and alert and eating again. Super fast recovery. We are told that we should get to go home in a few days. Here's hoping!

That little man did have the works done--I wonder which is more sensitive:) Glad he was out for all of it and is doing so well! He's such a fighter. Lots of love.

It is amazing how fast little babies rebound after surgeries and such. A great blessing, I guess. Glad everything went well and hope you get to go home for good soon.
