On The Side

Kamy went to school yesterday dressed like this.
"All the girls wear their shirts like this, if they are a little bit big", she said. Now I'm just waiting for those little plastic clips to make a comeback, although the rubberband does show some creativity on her part...much like what the sock scrunchie did for me.

Isn't it amazing what is coming back from the 80s! It will be interesting to see if the clip things come back to scrunch the shirt although I really hope not.

Girls did that when I was in elementary school, too - with the ponytail-holder, not a clip. They would also gather the shirt in the back with a safety-pin.

Does she think she's "a bit big"?! Man, already she's getting the body image thing from girls at school...

My kids totally rock this look to, however tell Kami to tuck the tail part under, thats how they wear it here.

Shavonne, she doesn't think she's big. She said, if the shirt was big, then they wear it that way.

Crazy! At least that was a somewhat cute aspect of the mid1980's trends. There are some really terrible ones that I see out there that have made a return, like the ankle boot! :p

woah, I haven't seen this one yet. I had like 10 different plastic shirt holder things when I was in gradeschool. What a crack up!
