Day 3 CHRISTmas: Vacuuming

We thought it would be fun to go to someone's house and offer our cleaning services.  Because I'm the type of person who wouldn't like someone to just show up, I decided to call a friend the night before, and ask if the girls and I could come over the next day to sweep and vacuum their house.  She was more than willing to let us come, and since their family was leaving for the weekend, they dropped off their housekey and said "Go for it".

So today, when the boys and The Husband were out finding us a Christmas tree, the girls (and Kimble) went with me to clean house.  It's actually more fun to clean someone else's house, than your own, as the girls discovered.  With the family being gone, we didn't worry about how long it took us, and we didn't have to work around people.  We just picked up a bit, emptied the dishwasher, washed the dishes that were in the sink, swept and vacuumed the entire house, and we enjoyed every minute of it.  I think this is a service we might have to perform twice this month.

That's a lovely idea - wouldn't it be nice to have 'housework fairies' visit every once in a while?

Putting Christ into Christmas through service is not only a blessing for those you serve, it is a blessing to you all! Great idea, Mom!
