I never did finish posting about Girl's Camp. On the fourth day, after morning certification and classes, breakfast and lunch, we all hopped in our cars and drove 30 minutes down the road to the gorgeous lake nestled in the mountain valley. The girls swam, canoed, and peddle-boated their way around the cove for two hours.
It took them a while to actually swim in the water, because it was pretty cold, but once some of them started jumping in, they all took turns jumping off the dock and into the water.
After swim time was up, we went to the archery station and the girls all tried their hand at shooting arrows, while trying to hit a one-dollar bill that was tacked onto the target.
We enjoyed an evening around the campfire after dinner (while watching out for and chasing away the persistent bear!). We had snacks, played games, and shared our testimonies. It was a lovely way to end the day.
The next morning, we simply ate breakfast and then packed up our stuff. We were heading home by 10am. It was a really great experience for both Kamy and I. Look forward to next year's Girls' Camp for sure!
