Santa and National "Believe" Day!

December 14th was National Believe Day!  For every letter written to Santa, and mailed in a special red mailbox at Macy's Department Store, Macy's would donate 2 dollars to Make A Wish!  On all other days, Macy's donates 1 dollar for every letter they receive.
When we went to our Mended Little Heart's meeting this month, it was the day before National "Believe" Day.  Santa and Mrs. Claus came to visit, and we all wrote letters to Santa (it almost seemed contradictory, but all the kids wrote the letter without questioning it) and we took turns visiting with Santa and taking pictures.
Kimble didn't want anything to do with Santa, and threw himself up and down until Santa let him down!  All the other kids were happy to talk with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and they all received a little gift too (toy cars, lotion sets, or dart guns, depending on age and gender).

I love that picture of Kamy and Keaton with Santa and Mrs. Claus!!  It's probably the last year Kamy will sit on Santa's lap, so it was nice to see her humor us!
After visiting, they all wrote their letters. Kamy wants a desk (and an itouch) and Keaton wants a real sword and shield.

Kolby wants a wii-U and Kennedy wants a music box and makeup set (even though that is exactly what she just got for her birthday).

Kimble wants toy trains.

It was a fun night!  We thank Mended Little Hearts for bringing Santa to visit, and we got our letters put in the special mailbox to help Make A Wish!
